James Harrison
Executive Private Wealth, CEO - Invia Wealth Partners
James joined NAB in October 2011 and was appointed Executive, NAB Private Wealth and CEO Invia Wealth Partners in January 2023. In this role, James leads NAB’s wealth management services including private bankers, wealth advisors, investment specialists, support teams and the nabtrade platform – to deliver the best possible wealth outcomes to clients.
James’s many years of leadership in the finance sector includes previous roles as
Executive, NAB Business Banking Metro Australia, Chief Risk Officer for Business and
Private Bank at NAB, and leading the NAB UK & Europe operations. James also held the
role of Chairman of Invia Wealth Partners from April 2020 to 2nd June 2023.
Throughout James’s diverse career of more than 30 years in financial services, he has led
specialist teams and large-scale businesses within Corporate and Institutional Banking,
Wealth Management, Private Banking and Corporate and Commercial Property.
James is a Director on the Victoria Racing board and a member of the Brighton Grammar school Finance Committee.
Sarah Jenkins
HEAD OF AUSTRALIAN EQUITIES
Sarah is the Head of Australian Equities, responsible for leading a team of investment analysts and is the portfolio manager of Invia Wealth Partners's Australian equities model portfolios. Sarah joined Invia Wealth Partners in February 2020 as a Senior Analyst covering the Global Consumer and Technology sectors before being promoted to her current role in May 2022.
She has 20 years' professional experience spanning management consulting and corporate finance, with the better part of the past decade spent in global equities. Prior to Invia Wealth Partners, Sarah was an Investment Analyst at Magellan Financial Group covering the Global Healthcare and Consumer sectors and Antipodes Partners, where she was responsible for generating both long and short investment recommendations.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours from the University of New South Wales.
David Kensington
HEAD OF ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS & RESPONSIBLE INVESTING
David joined Invia Wealth Partners in May 2019 and is Head of Alternative Investments and Responsible Investing. As Head of Alternatives, David leads the Alternatives strategy, investing selection and execution across Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Assets including Infrastructure & Property, Renewables, Natural Resources and Hedge Funds. David also leads the further expansion of Invia Wealth Partners's approach to Responsible Investing spanning ESG, ethical/impact investing, and stewardship of capital.
Prior to joining Invia Wealth Partners, David held senior multi-asset global investment and structuring roles on trading floors, working across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and Bank of Montreal (BMO) Capital Markets.
David has over 20 years of industry experience with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business (Management) from the University of Queensland. He is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) Australia and a Graduate Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Victoria Belmont
HEAD OF ADVICE NSW/ACT
Victoria joined Invia Wealth Partners in 2017 from NAB Private where she had been a private client executive for over 5 years. Victoria has had more than 30 years' industry experience across markets, stockbroking, advice and private banking. She has previously held roles in private banking and advice across Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch and UBS.
Robert Ashford
HEAD OF ADVICE NSW/QLD
Robert joined Invia Wealth Partners in 2016, holding senior roles including Executive Director, Head of Advice for VIC/TAS and Head of Advice for NSW/QLD. He has had more than 28 years' experience in wealth management working at Deutsche Bank, Ord Minnett and Morgan Stanley.
Elizabeth Sinclair
HEAD OF ADVICE VIC/TAS
Elizabeth joined Invia Wealth Partners in late 2021 and has more than 20 years of experience across the financial services industry including banking and financial advice. She has held leadership positions managing teams at Westpac and CBA, the most recent in Commonwealth Financial Planning and Commonwealth Private.
William Brooks
HEAD OF ADVICE VIC/TAS
William joined Invia Wealth Partners in late 2024 from NAB Corporate and Institutional Bank where he had been Head of Financial Markets for Victoria, leading a team of Foreign Currency, Interest Rate Risk and Commodity Markets Dealers. He has over 24 years of Financial Markets experience working across ANZ and NAB.
Alexander Mercer
HEAD OF ADVICE WA
Alexander has a dual role managing Private Banking WA and was appointed into the Head of Advice WA & SA in August 2021. He has had a long and successful career in banking over 30 years at NAB, of which the last 15 years have been in the Private Banking business.
Michael Sterling
HEAD OF ADVICE SA/NT
Michael joined Invia Wealth Partners in 2019 and has more than 15 years' experience in financial services across wholesale banking, wealth management and broking businesses in the UK and Australia. He is currently the Head of Advice in SA/NT and a Responsible Manager for Invia Wealth Partners's AFSL. In addition, he manages the Advice Analysts and Wealth Advisers across Invia Wealth Partners's South Australian and Western Australian offices, developing the next generation of Advisers.
His previous roles include positions at Invia Wealth Partners, Barclays Investment Bank and Goldman Sachs. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, majoring in Economics & Finance and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course.
Chris Williams
HEAD OF FIXED INCOME
Chris Williams is a seasoned finance professional with extensive international experience across leading global institutions. He holds a degree in Finance from University College London (UCL), where he developed a strong foundation in financial markets, investment strategy, and economic analysis.
Chris began his career in London, working with top-tier institutions including Deutsche Bank and UBS, where he built deep expertise in fixed income markets, client advisory, and structured financial products. His performance and technical knowledge led to an opportunity in New York City with Citibank, where he further expanded his experience in global markets and institutional client management.
Following his success in the U.S., Chris relocated to Australia with Citibank, continuing to focus on wealth and fixed income solutions. In 2022, when National Australia Bank (NAB) acquired Citibank’s Australian consumer business, Chris was retained as part of NAB’s Wealth Management division, reflecting his strong client relationships and market expertise.
Chris later transitioned internally to Invia, where he now leads the Fixed Income Division. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing investment strategy, product development, and client portfolio construction, with a focus on delivering stable income solutions in evolving market conditions.
With a career spanning London, New York, and Australia, Chris brings a global perspective, disciplined investment approach, and a proven track record in fixed income and wealth management.
